What each kit holds
The harness — it is a Y-harness: the straps form a Y across the chest instead of a straight strap running over the shoulders. It is not a no-pull harness. Four-point adjustable straps, quick-release buckles, breathable mesh lining, back handle, D-ring and MOLLE webbing.
The hands-free leash — waist belt, bungee cord that absorbs the jolt, zippered pouch, reflective strip. 1.30 m at rest, and the bungee gives at least another 20 cm when he pulls.
The 3-in-1 bottle — three parts that come fully apart: the water reservoir, the bowl that folds down, and the kibble cup that unscrews at the end. 280 ml, printed on the bottle: enough to water a medium dog two or three times.
And you are not stuck with those 280 ml. The button comes off, so you can scoop water straight from a source — a park fountain, an outdoor tap. With two dogs that matters even more: you top up on the way instead of rationing.
Straight up: the water reservoir does not come apart — you can't brush it out inside. Empty it when you get back and never store it with water in it. The bowl and the kibble cup do come off and wash normally.
Which size for each dog
Measure each dog with a soft tape: the chest girth just behind the front legs, and the neck girth at the base of the neck.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. Allow 1 to 2 cm — measurements are taken by hand.
The harness starts at 10 kg (22 lb). Under 10 kg — a bichon, a shih tzu, a chihuahua — it will be too big even in S. We'd rather tell you first.
The law in Quebec
Since 3 March 2020, the provincial regulation reads: « La laisse doit être d'une longueur maximale de 1,85 m. Pour les chiens de 20 kg ou plus, la laisse doit être attachée à un harnais ou à un licou. » — the leash may be no longer than 1.85 m, and for dogs of 20 kg (44 lb) or more it must be attached to a harness or a head halter, not the collar.
