This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal information Boutique Wooftrek collects, why, who it is shared with, and your rights. It follows Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and the federal PIPEDA.

For any question, request or complaint about your personal information, write to our Privacy Officer: contact@wooftrek.ca, or by mail to the address above.
What we collect
- For your order: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number (if requested for delivery), items ordered.
- For payment: payment is processed by Shopify and its payment processors. We never see your full card number.
- When you write to us: the content of your messages.
- On the site: technical information (device, browser, IP address) collected by cookies. See our Cookie policy.
We only collect what is necessary. We never collect sensitive information.
Why we use it
- To process, prepare and deliver your order, and give you tracking.
- To answer your questions and handle returns, cancellations and refunds.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To prevent fraud and protect the site.
- To send you news or offers by email, only if you agreed to it. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Essential cookies (cart, checkout, security) are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and only turn on if you accept them. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time. Details in our Cookie policy.
Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us serve you, and only what they need:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes payments;
- our suppliers and logistics partners, who prepare and ship orders (name, shipping address, phone);
- carriers, who deliver your parcel;
- authorities, only when the law requires it.
Information communicated outside Québec: some of these partners are located elsewhere in Canada, in the United States or in Asia. Your information may therefore be processed outside Québec. We limit what is shared to what is strictly needed to deliver your order.
How long we keep it
Order information is kept for the period required by tax laws (6 years), then destroyed or anonymized. Your exchanges with us are kept as long as needed to handle your request. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we stop sending them.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information (limited access, protected accounts, secure platform). If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- ask to see the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent (for example to emails or cookies);
- ask that it be deleted when it is no longer needed;
- ask to receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Minors
The store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 14.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
